About this place
Vantaa sits directly north of Helsinki and is the fourth most populous city in Finland, with around 240,000 residents. Though often seen as an extension of the capital, it lacks a conventional city centre — its administrative hub is in Tikkurila, while districts such as Myyrmäki, Kivistö, and Korso form their own local cores.
Best known as the home of Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, Vantaa offers a mix of attractions for travelers. You can explore the medieval Church of St. Lawrence, the interactive science centre Heureka, and a selection of parks and working farms. The Jumbo-Flamingo complex combines a major shopping mall with an entertainment centre and hotel, providing plenty to do indoors.
