About this place
Sumedang is a city and regency in the Parahyangan mountain region of Western Java, Indonesia. Sitting roughly 40 km east of Bandung along the historic Great Post Road, it has long served as a resting point between Bandung and Cirebon. The regency is overlooked by Mount Tampomas, a volcano just north of the city.
