Sialkot, in the northeast of Pakistan’s Punjab province, is a city where deep-rooted history meets dynamic industry. The ancient settlement — said to have been invaded by Alexander the Great in 327 BCE — is now a powerhouse of exports, renowned worldwide for producing surgical instruments, sports goods, leather garments, and musical instruments. Its global commercial ties are reinforced by a dedicated international airport built with local business support, as well as a dry port at Sambrial and the modern Sialkot–Lahore motorway (M11).
