About this place
Saga is the capital of Saga prefecture on the island of Kyushu, often overlooked by travelers heading to nearby Nagasaki. The city rewards a stop with Saga Castle and a compact, walkable historic center. Fukuoka Airport provides the most practical gateway, with Saga Station just 40 minutes by limited express train from Hakata.
