The city functions as a key stopover for travelers heading toward Zimbabwe and the northern reaches of the country.
Access is straightforward via the N1 highway from Johannesburg, regular flights into Polokwane International Airport, or daily train and bus services. Once in town, a car is the most practical way to explore, as public transport remains limited.
