About this place
The 15th arrondissement of Paris, also known as Vaugirard, sits on the Left Bank of the Seine in the city's southwest. It is the largest arrondissement by both area and population, housing over 230,000 residents and providing around 150,000 jobs. The district blends dense residential neighborhoods with modern office developments, most notably the high-rise skyline of the Front de Seine along the river.
While generally up-market and quiet, the 15th sees relatively little tourist traffic compared to central Paris. That doesn't mean it lacks appeal — its waterfront location, local parks, and proximity to landmarks like the Eiffel Tower make it a comfortable base. The famous Tour Montparnasse and Gare Montparnasse sit on its eastern border with the 14th arrondissement.
