About this place
Noida is Uttar Pradesh's most modern city, a satellite of Delhi just across the Yamuna River. It was established as the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority and has grown into a popular base for businesses seeking relief from Delhi's congestion and high rents. The city is known for having some of the best roads in the National Capital Region (NCR), with excellent street lighting and cat-eyes for night visibility. A scenic departure from Delhi, Noida maintains a relatively low-traffic, low-pollution atmosphere by Indian standards and is dotted with parks and statues that add to its green appeal.

Planning Tips
- Use the metro — The Delhi Metro's Blue and Magenta lines connect various parts of Noida and link directly to Indira Gandhi International Airport, offering a convenient car-free arrival.
- Check vehicle rules — If driving a commercial rental car with black plates, you cannot use the DND Flyway toll bridge to Delhi unless the Uttar Pradesh road tax has already been paid, as there are no payment facilities at the bridge.
- Book taxis online — Ride-hailing services like Uber and Ola are popular, and online rental companies offer options for both intra-city travel and trips to destinations like Agra and Jaipur.
