About this place
Níkaia is a substantial residential district on the outskirts of Piraeus, forming part of the greater Athens urban area. While it is administratively within the Piraeus region, it lies inland and is often more easily reached from central Athens. The area has a strong local character, shaped by its history as an industrial and working-class suburb.
