Planning Tips
- Getting around: The easiest way to explore Piccadilly-East Centre is on foot. Trams and buses converge at Piccadilly Gardens, providing convenient access to other parts of the city.
- By train: Manchester Piccadilly railway station offers frequent services to London (Euston) via Avanti West Coast, with trains every 20 minutes calling at Stockport, Stoke-on-Trent and other stations. CrossCountry also runs hourly services to Bournemouth and Bristol.
- By tram: Metrolink trams run every 12 minutes on most routes, with higher frequencies during peak times. Key destinations include Altrincham, Ashton-under-Lyne, Bury, Eccles, and MediaCityUK.
- Shopping: Market Street and the Arndale Centre, just north of Piccadilly Gardens, offer a variety of high street stores.
- Driving: The area has many one-way streets and heavy traffic, so it is best avoided by car. Park on the outskirts and use public transport instead.
