About this place
Long Xuyên is the capital of An Giang Province, set in the Mekong Delta of southwestern Vietnam. Its compact, walkable center and local specialty transport — including bicycle carts known as xe loi — give it a relaxed, distinctly Delta character. Tiger Island, the birthplace of a former Vietnamese president, adds a historical layer beyond the provincial-hub feel.
