About this place
Set among the rolling hills of the Katanga region, Likasi is a significant mining center with a population of over 630,000. The city, whose full name Likasi ya Bilima translates to "Likasi of the hills," is characterized by its undulating landscape, reaching its highest point at Karajipopo in the Panda commune.
