Lianyungang (连云港 Liányúngǎng) is a coastal city in Jiangsu Province, China, situated on the Yellow Sea and backed by Yuntai Mountain. Known as "Haizhou" in ancient times, it is recognized as a cultural birthplace of classic Chinese novels such as Journey to the West and Mirror Flower. As one of China's first 14 coastal open cities, Lianyungang serves as the eastern bridgehead of the New Eurasian Continental Bridge and an international port city.

The city lies at the junction of Shandong hills and the northern Jiangsu plain, bordered by the Yellow Sea to the east, and the cities of Linyi, Xuzhou, Suqian, Huai'an, Yancheng, and Rizhao. Lianyungang enjoys a humid monsoon climate with a slight oceanic influence, featuring four distinct seasons, sufficient sunlight, and moderate rainfall. Its unique blend of natural scenery, historical sites, and coastal charm makes it an appealing destination for leisure travelers.
