About this place
Cimahi is a suburban city in the Parahyangan highlands of Western Java, Indonesia, perched just west of the provincial capital Bandung. Known as Kota Tentara (Army City or City of Soldiers), it retains a strong military presence dating back to the Dutch colonial era, when it was first established as a garrison town in 1886. Today, it is home to nearly 600,000 residents and serves as a quieter, more laid-back alternative to bustling Bandung.
