Chhapra is a city in Bihar, India, about 70 km northwest of Patna. Once the headquarters of the Saran district, it is known as the hometown of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, India’s first President. Bhojpuri is the main language spoken here, and the city comes alive during Chhath Parv, the major festival celebrated six days after Deepawali.
