About this place
Cabanatuan is a bustling city in Nueva Ecija, known as the "Gateway to the North" and a major commercial hub in Central Luzon. Once the heart of the country's rice-growing region, the city played a pivotal role in Philippine history, serving briefly as the national capital and later as the site of a famous World War II rescue mission.
Nicknamed the "Tricycle Capital of the Philippines," Cabanatuan hums with local energy. The city's inland location creates a distinct tropical climate, often registering some of the country's highest temperatures.
