About this place
Breda is a welcoming city of about 190,000 people in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It blends a long military history with a lively modern centre — the Royal Netherlands Military Academy still operates out of the historic Castle of Breda right in the heart of the old town. This legacy gives the city a distinctive character, with stately buildings and green moats framing compact, walkable streets.
