About this place
Badlapur is a growing residential city in Maharashtra's North Konkan region, roughly 70 km from Mumbai. Originally a collection of villages, it has evolved into a recognized city within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, attracting a broad mix of communities.
The city is best known to Mumbaikars as a weekend picnic destination. Proximity to nature, including two major dams and seasonal waterfalls, is a major draw, while its quieter, greener setting and relatively cooler temperatures offer a break from the main metropolis.
